I was 23 I fell head over heels in love with an older man with whom treated me with respect and dignity. Due to my faith, I had no alternative but to turn my back on this love in my life... I did however get back in contact with him (he called me) 10 years later and we met 10,000 miles away... it was almost as if we had never parted.... the day I boarded the plane in saying goodbye, I felt my world ended... he still to this day hasn't married and vowed to me that he would be there for me "one day"... he is always in my thoughts, but, I am committed to a love lost marriage but I don't have the guts to bail... I know what I should do, but, I am scared....

Thats a toughie. So is it the difference of your faiths? I fell in love with my friend a little over four years ago. Ive tried to accept that we are kept apart but every time I attempt a relationship my love for him is still there underneath everything. What helps is that the love is based on who he is as a person rather than being sexual. It helps that feeling this way for someone is a special gift that I am lucky to have experienced- and I can accept that I will always love him even if we are not able to marry. Hopefully we can work the differences out.

This is just a phase in your life that you are going thru. After 10 yrs out of touch, do u actually know what happened during the past 10 yrs of him ?
No doubt, an older guy is nice to hanged out with cause he know how to pamper and love a younger girl. To them, it's just the game of conquest. Nope, i'm not trying to break anything, just sharing the general thinking.
Well, the yearning of something that you know you can't have is always hard cause without it, you will think that the world is cruel to you. Take it gently, cause God always have better things in store for your life, without you knowing it.
Times does heal. Do give your fiance a chance to proof himself to you, b4 u condemn yourself to not loving him.
