Your counselor should be able to help you, but I would suggest that you might want to see if you can withdraw without Fs and take time off to fix the basic problems before going back. You don't say why you have been absent. Has there been anything specific (mono, for example), or is it the procrastination and disorganization? If so, before you beat yourself up, my guess is that what you are experiencing is something like depression. You may be able to fix this in the long run with therapy and, if your doctor feels it is appropriate, medication. I went through this in college and wish I had realized earlier that it was not a character flaw, but an illness which could be treated.

If you really can't get the work caught up and decide to withdraw, check with your counselor to see if you can withdraw without having the F's on your record. Another option is to take incompletes and then get the work made up over the summer (provided the school allows incompletes to drag on that long).

just stay behind for a year, and be the cool kid that knows everything. Tell your request to the counselor, tell him that you are disorganize and you can't handle the make up assignments and it's best that you stay behind for a year so you can get your act together.
