well, the answer is both. on the 14th day of your cycle (considering the fact that day 1 is the first day of your period), you ovulate. that means thats the time when you will get pregnant. And ovulation lasts for 24 hours or so.so if you don't want to get pregnant, have sex around days 7-12 and/or 16-28
just to be safe

:)

Neither....it's when you either have "abstinence" or if that's not an option than when you use protection...ex: "condom."
Don't really think before or after is safer truthfully...although "gynecologists" have told me over the years that "during" is an unsafe time to have unprotected sex...if you do not wish to get pregnant at that time. So I don't think I would listen to all of those answers telling you during your period it's ok not to use protection.

Never, but the least fertile period is usually marked by clumpy white flow, while the most fertile is clear, stringy flow.

During a period is about the only time close to "safe" for not becoming pregnant, since the menstruation tends to eject everything...but even that isn't guaranteed!

Some people can get pregnant anytime before or after. Thats why its always safer to use protection.

That haveing sex while on your period to not get preg is a crock. It is very very rare but it is still possible especially if you at the end b/c sperm hangs around for a few days. I the only way to be safest is to use condoms and get on some birth control for yourself

It is nva safe to have unprotected sex at all times.Even after period,ur uterus lining is still repairing itself, preparing for the next egg to be implanted.Even with protected sex,it is nva 100% safe. Consider carefully before deciding to have sex.

five days before and after menstruation, if your period is regular. if not, better use some contraceptive pills. it is much safer and effective. but see a gynecologist first so that she can give you the right medication.

Neither. That's a load of crap. If you think going freestyle is ok, be prepared to raise a kid soon. Use a condom and/or birth control pills. That is the ONLY safe way.

1st day period till 7th day is ok (during this time, it is not advisable to have sex, cause you or your gf will possible get bacteria infection and it is not hygienic).

Avoid 8th till 21st day, best use rubber during this period.

22nd till 28th day or cycle begins is fine again.

If time is a factor, then ask your gf to take pills. Warning, it will make ur gf fat (side effect of pills)
