A man I have known well for many yrs, admired, respected and been quite attracted to called me 2 days ago. He heard I had lost my husband (it's been almost 2 yrs).
This man possesses so much of what I have hoped for, so much of what I want. Totally masculine, untamed, in control. Everything in me wants to lay at his feet...
Great food, much wine, we talked into the night. The yrs totally melted and I found he felt much the same about me that I felt about him.
Last night he returned, things got much warmer. Low lights, more wine, perfect mood, both of us clearly and completely lost in each other. Then it happened. I blew it. Can't even explain it. I totally and completely withdrew. He left confused.
Today I wrote him. Totally humbled myself, put myself on my knees (so to speak). I explained my fears but deep desire to know him, to give myself to him.
So, what say you, guys? Will he answer positively? Reject me? What might YOU do? Should I hope? Or not?

Thank you "what are we drinking". I feel kinda nuts, ya know? I felt REALLY nuts bailing on the guy with half my clothes off. So, I have no problem at all with a really honest answer, like yours. However, this place is "nuts" by definition. In the real world I'm probably at least sober.

I looked at your 360 profile, your a very attractive women who looks to be experienced in life's challenges in love and lost, with your husbands passing.I'm sure getting into a new relationship is quite hard and overwhelming but to tell you how he may think is hard to do.However if he's the man you describe and has the one thing you didn't mention in your description of him ,compassion he should come around and understand where your coming from. Good luck Hun let me know...

Technically, he must feel right now like you rejected him. If I were him, I'd be wondering what I did wrong to make you react that way toward me. Receiving your letter will likely surprise him, likely pleasantly as long as you didn't get too dramatic and ramble too much.

Chances are, he'll probably answer positively because he's obviously interested in you and he knows he's not getting any younger.

Yes i'm sure he will completely understand, it may have been two years since you lost ur husband but it is totally natural that you would hesistate to get into a relationship again! I'm sure he will understand it takes a lot to take a leap into a relationship again.

You sound like a love book. You did the right thing and I think he understands you. Dont worry. Be honest to him and let him know how you truly feel.

Hope springs eternal. Keep on hoping. Seems to me, this person will not let one incident drive him away after all these years. My vote is, he'll be back. Good luck!!!

If he is everything you say he is, and if he truly respects you, he will be there with a positive smile on his face!!!

I think if he's as great as you say then he'll respond, and if not then at least he didn't waste your time.
