That really depends on the make up of your body. For some people, it will scar badly. For others, you won't even notice it a few days later. I am like the second example. I pop my zits every chance I get and nothing has ever happened, and my skin looks fine. One time a family member said I shouldn't pop them so I consciously did not pop one on my back. Now, it has turned into a Keloid and has been with me for about 17 years.
Try popping on in a not-so-visible place and see what happens.
Good luck.

Yes. Squeezing or popping pimples spreads bacteria and ultimately results in scars. Popping a pimple could actually make the pimple last longer b/c the skin ends up red and irritated for a longer period. By using Clearogen's acne toner you can help dry the pimple faster with out leaving scars or redness and irritation.

Not always, yeah it can spread infection, but if your obsessing about it and wont leave it a lone, of coarse you will create a scar with the big scab you left behind. But then again, if you have this pimple on your forehead or nose and all this pus is just kicking it, and people are seeming to stare at it instead of you, don't leave that ****** there!! SQUEEZE THE FUCKER!! Just keep it clean afterwards. I personally get more grossed out when I see pimples with pus still kicking it, than when I see a scab that is covered with make-up and will eventually go away..LOL

It is important to determine if the pimple is ready to be extracted. The best way to assess this is by gauging the readiness of the whitehead. It is important not to pop a pimple before it is ready or skin scarring it likely to occur. A lot of this will depend on the type of acne you have. 'Popping a zit' is much easier and has less repercustions if it is a simple pimple and not part of a greater acne condition.
For example, if the pimple does not have a head on it, or if it is hard and still under the surface of the skin, it is not ready to pop. If you have cystic acne, (this is a zit that is below the skins surface, is painful and large, and feels hard and sensitive to the touch,) it is best NOT to touch it. If it does not go away in 2 weeks, you may have to go to the dermatologist to get it injected with steroids.
Note: If you have moderate to severe acne, it is best to consult a professional dermatologist before attempting treating and popping pimples on your own. A dermatologist may put you on a skincare regime that will treat the long term affects of chronic acne.

No I've been studying dermatology at Blake University for 13 years and have come up with the conclusion that squeezing pimples to get rid of puss is the only sure-fire way to rid the area of bacteria and prevent future infection. Although it may seem unethical, it is the best way to rid of pimples and clear your skin

depends HOW you do it. the editor from allure magazine suggests waiting until it is a white head. wash your face. tack two QTIPS and using those t squeeze it. stop as soon as you see the blood. wash your face again and put benzoil peroxide on the spot and dont touch it.
AND NEVER USE YOUR FINGERS WHEN POPING A PIMPLE! THATS HOW THOSE PEOPLE UP THERE GOT THEIR SCARS AND GOT MORE PIMPLES!!! and if you think about it. this way makes sense! and dont listen to that guy up top. i think hes just a guy try to get you to buy another dumb product that claims will take away your acne!

yes it's bad. But most people do it any way. When you squeeze a pimple it ruptures under your skin as well as on the surface. thats why you get other breakouts around it. your spreading the bacteria under the skin as well. think about it.

Do not pinch the pustules so that there are no scars formed. A good soap like Neutrogena or Cetaphil is recommended. Mild oil free skin creams should only be used . This link should provide more remedies.

Yes - don't do it. The only time to remove the puss, is when it is a prominent white head and can be removed by applying a warm wash cloth. Never apply pressure, cause this will lead to scarring.
