My new man and I have been talkin for about 2 months. We have known each other for like 10 years and have been friends for like 4 years. He has had feelings for me the entire time, but I have always been in other relationships. We finally decided to take it to the next level, and everything is going really good. We love spending time together and there is a lot of chemistry between us. We have talked about having sex and it is obvious how bad we want each other, but when it comes down to it, neither of us make the move. I think it is because we have known each other so long and we like each other so much we are scared that sex would ruin everything. What can I do to ease this transition? Guys, could there be another reason he has not tried to have sex with me yet that I'm not considering? I would love to hear as many opinions as possible. (We are both consenting adults so please consider that when answering.) Thanks.

This is just a shot in the dark, but he may have a bit of performance anxiety...if he has been pining for you for 4 years, he obviously wants you bad, and the first time may be...umm, quick. Or at least he might be afraid it won't be good, and he really wants to satisfy you.

I've been in a similar situation... however this was resolved by when this guy and I were hanging out at my house, and suddenly he disappeared!! What he did was go up to my room and got into my bed! It was pretty funny really. I just got into bed too and we took it from there.
We were both pretty drunk, and we had also been friends for a while as well.. but had that whole chemistry buzz going on between us and it was obvious that sex was the next step.
Just have a few drinks, relax and take it from there. Just enjoy each others company and make sure you're having fun!

This sounds like it has great potential. I think in this case you might want to loosen up a little first, maybe with champagne or wine and a nice dinner, at home. Make a move like maybe rubbing his shoulders and a lingering kiss on the cheek. He may be afraid after all this time that he won't meet your expectations, so just keep it light and fun and let things happen. It should be very exciting when it finally happens...I'm jealous!

It seems that you guys have a strong connection and bond. If you guys want each other so bad one thing will lead to another and there is no holding back. Just be natural when you guys are fooling around if any of you guys get tend there goes the vibe and there is nothing but awkwardness. dont do it i just got out of a relationship like the sex ruined it... i swear... just tell him im =scared that it will ruin what we have so maybe later... i knew my bf for 8 years dated a year had sex 7 months and it sucks *** beacuse we were each others first and it ruined it i hoped i help probley not im just rambling
