no its a point of contention we hope to get past one day ... we need to forget about the sign hanging over the door of the church and just concentrate on Gods word and unity ..

Each Christian is uniquely being shaped spiritually by Jesus Christ and therefore, is uniquely, different. Dogma or doctrine is one of those "tools" used to do the job with and dogma [doctrine]varies with each Christian. (see: I Peter Chapter 2, verse 5) I, as a Christian, do not believe that I will go to "heaven" or "hell" when I die. I. personally, believe that when people die, they go to the grave and when Jesus Christ comes back to the earth, He will resurrect everyone - each in their particular turn and time, all will be "Judged" by Him, then, everyone , who hasn't had a chance to develop a relationship with Him in this life, will be given their chance at that time.

The problem with Christianity IS "doctrine". What Christians need to focus on is not man-made denominational doctrine, but the doctrine of Christ. When you deviate from His teachings and incorporate man's teachings, you have a problem. Stick with Jesus, and what He teaches, and toss the rest of the man-made stuff out. IF you do so, you will be fine.

Read the Bible. Jesus just wants us to be good. It's not too hard to picture people of every kind doing that.
We may disagree on some things, but the basics are the same.

ALL CHRISTIANS INCLUDING MYSELF BELIEVE THAT "FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE SENT HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVED ON HIM WOULD HAVE ETERNAL LIFE" WHOSOEVER IS THE KEY WORD!

I dunno, but I believe that if some have different teachings to the Bible...it's not right!
