How can you ask somebody if he likes you?

If he's a good friend, you can ask him in so many words.

If not, first figure out if he likes you as a person. You can infer this from normal conversation. Then you can either take the direct route, along the lines of "I'd like to spend more time with you; would you be interested in that", or be a little more indirect.

By being more indirect, I mean put him in a position where he has to compliment you on your looks. Then see if he says "Yeah, you look great" or "You look GREAT!!!!!"

Those are a couple of ideas.

In any case, the core point is -- keep him talking (without boring him, of course).
