_ _ It's a slang term to mean something isn't right or messed up and as you can see she must have hear it from someone and thinks she is cool because she is using it! . .

This expression comes from when people took L.S.D, mainly during the '80s/'90s,and,as everybody seems to believe,back in the 1960s.
To take a 'trip' involved swallowing a small piece of blotting/soaking paper,plus a source you trusted.
Twenty to fifteen years ago,'trips' were able to be found that did not kill anybody.That was tripping!P.S: I wouldn't touch the rubbish today-I know of too many disappointments and bad stories.

Tripping is having hallucinations from illegal pills like Extasy, Speed, Acid, etc. You can have a bad trip or a good one. It is used commonly to say that you are imagining things.
