Obviously He wanted to leave signs to show Germany the path into France. They followed the beer.
And you've obviously never had a Sam Adams, or an Otter Creek, or Blue Moon, or Magic Hat, or any of the other quality beers made in the US. Typical religionist - speaking of things they know not without checking the facts.

Some of the US microbrews that are immitating those styles are doing great work right now. But it really is only immitation.
Personally I tend to like the British and Irish beers and ales....I'm more into the Hop varieties and Ales then the malts.
I don't dig lambics, and I find Chimmay a bit over rated.

Yes, our Lord Lager (or maybe Barley) doesn't like us, for us he has prepared watered down cheap imitations of good brews. (I don't count, I'm pregnant, I can't drink. The next time I imbibe will be in 2009 I think)
