Atheism is not a religion, for me it is the fact that my life is insignificant compared to the number of people and my place in history. However i do think this is reality.

I feel so alone not having anything I can have faith in. I really wish I had been born to believe in a god.

The homework. Asatru is the religion with homework and thus a reputation for intellectual snobbery and bookishness. Unlike with other Pagan religions, (most) Asatru books don't come in dumbed down versions.
Not that this is a bad thing (because I love books), but myself I can't think of too many negative aspects.

I think the biggest problem in my beliefs is that it's not leading to a happy ending, rather a neutral ending, as I realize that the universe and beyond is based on a perfect balance.

I'd have to say the slant it has towards egotism. While I bleive I need to stop thinking about everyone else, it's hard to be at least moderately selfish. After that nit pick, it must be the need to maintain a balance between I, and them.

nexus: What you serve, is your god ! It doesn't necessarily have to be "religion". The most negative thing in my spiritual walk is living it ! To be happy from the inside, outwardly, I have to practice my beliefs - that is a real battle with me because I know better not to want to practice them.
