this is a long story but I could really use your help. (and please no immature answers, they're lame & repetitive)
A few months ago, I met this girl on the debate team (go ahead & laugh) and we talked for a little bit about school & I'd crack some jokes
We would talk a little at other tournaments (I was pretty much the only one who talked to her) and I kind of started to think she was really cute and fun to be with.
Sadly, she quit the team b/c she said she was bad at it but still said "Hi, Ken" to me a lot when she sees me in school, even when with her friends. she also talked sometimes to my friend who was in her p.e. class last semster
Sometimes, she'll come up to me and ask me how the team is
my question is: is it possible that she likes me as more than a friend (which is what my friend thinks), what should i say if i ask her out and where would u recommend i take her?
ps: im a junior and she's a freshman & she is doing track soon so her schedule may be busy

Ask her if she wants to go out for Ice Cream...make sure and do your homework to find one of those mom and pop kinda soda shops. Will be fun and not too serious.
Or there is Baskin Robins or Cold Stone's (but mom and pops is way more romantic)
She could possible like you, sounds like she is interested if nothing else in a friendship...which could lead to a relationship.
Good Luck!!

Your friend is probably right, she probably does like you if she is asking about you and making an effort to talk to you. You did not mention if you have a job, can you afford a nice restaurant? You may want to ask if you can get the schedule for the track teams races so that you can plan around that, also it would be nice if you went to some of her races. Let her know that you would like to come and watch her race, high jump, etc. Girls love attention and if you are thoughtful enough to show support in her interests it will give the relationship a jump start. Girls always like to be pampered, see what kind of food she likes, Mexican, Asian, Italian, German, or just Pizza, and then choose the restaurant after you know her preference. A movie is always a good thing to do on the first date, it gives you something to talk about if things get too quiet and uncomfortable. Most important, be yourself, she seems to like the guy at the debate tournaments.

on a side note : I think that is totaly adorable, im in a debate type thing too and ya, I'm into a guy there lol.
Your question: yes, it is possible. If you want to ask her our I suggest being a little more proactive, it seems you may not talk to her all that much so, maybe invite her to lunch sometime, casual, no pressure, as friends, lunch. Then if things go well invite her to a dance or something along those lines, a great idea is to find a swing dance hall in your area, even if you are bad at dancing, swing dancing is not too personal but very very fun. Good luck debate boy!

Based on what you say, I imagine that at least she doesn't dislike you, so, that's a good thing. The second thing you have to do is find out what is her interest, and invite her to go some place that she likes. Try to do your research of the place you take her so you will be at ease and confident of where you are going and what to expect from that place. It also seems to me that she is a smart girl (since she was in a debate team) so, don't think of her as just another girl, meaning she already doesn't think like all the other girls, so, treat her as a smart woman and she'll appreciate it .

I would say ask her out to see a movie. When you get to a one on one situation, you can better judge what she thinks of you. And Ken, if the rejection factor is stopping you from asking her, try not to let it. If there is one thing I have learned is that, its better to jump in the deep end and risk rejection, than never knowing at all.
What's the worst that can happen? I say go for it... You sound like a decent boy!

This sounds like she would go out with you if you asked. Just say:
Hey, what are you doing tomorrow/to night do you want to go grab something to eat?
(All in one sentence)
And if she says no she's busy, (just say) I'd like to hang out and talk to you a while, I like the conversations, when you get some free time let me know we can go get some thing to eat or something.
And leave it like that open and not a formal date
so you feel comfortable, I think she will!! Good luck in school!...Just do it, just ask!

Ask her to help you on a debate speech, than to repay her you can take her out to dinner...when you two are alone you really need to be aware of how she acts, this will really tell you if she likes you ( that and excepting you invitation to dinner).

Wow! If I have been you i might basically give up chatting with him. do no longer text cloth him message him or myspace him. evaluate it over. He would not such as you and maximum def he would not love you. he's into his little buddies no longer into you. a guy that likes or loves a female will want to spend time and refer to his female chum. i'm specific you experience undesirable while that jerk would not call, text cloth or see you. he's no longer into you. So pay attention to me. ignore approximately him. do no longer call him. do no longer text cloth him. do no longer myspace him. ignore approximately him. If he calls you and asks why you haven't any longer noted as basically tell him. you're busy including your human beings. basically flow on and dont provide him a proof. perchance he's gay. So thats what i might do.
