Not all man does that, some are very faithful to their partners.
As for those who did, the reason is simple.

Do you think they want to get a wife oversea? Seeking experience and shared their stories with his male friends showing off that their achievement while they were oversea. So if your male partner is going oversea, suggest to tag along. It would be safer in that way.

I saw alot, too many, men go for secret lovers when I was living in Thailand. I think they believe that what happens in Thailand stays in Thailand. They want to do things they couldn't when they were home, and once they get overseas, they cave into their desires. Since they're on the other side of the world, they probably assume that no one would find out.

because of temptation. not just men though, some women do the same thing, i think it's the excitement of being in a different place, and humans are born curious creatures.
