There can not be so many Gurus. There indeed is only one. We can find him if we cry for him.
How we should react will come after we find our guide.

Spiritual gurus just improve our concentration to realise god.It is up to us to folow what we think is right in coming near to God by our own deeds and actions.Just as we react in a reflex manner to certain stimuli,similarly will our reaction be when we see the Lord.Maybe we would be overawed,dumbstruck and experience inner bliss leading to Salvation.
