Definitely! Caustic soda is poisonous and should not be put in baking. It is designed for clearing blocked drains! Not internal ones though.

Heavens NO!! They are very different! Baking soda is edible & commonly used as a rising agent in breads, cakes, buns n the lot. Caustic Soda is a commercial base used only when wearing protective gear coz its really poisonous.

different way different caustic soda can be used as a cleaning solution but not without the proper protection i use caustic daily in the oilfield you can use baking soda for brushing your teeth but not caustic soda it would kill you
