Say what?! Where did you get that news flash from? We don't even know if there are other beings in our own galaxy, much less the whole universe! You must not have a concept of just how huge the universe is. Our whole solar system is just a speck of dust in comparison to the size of the universe.

Maam, you have asked an excellent question.

If the universe were populated by other races, the same God that made us would have created them. Nothing that God has revealed to us would be changed by this possibility.

Yet, when I consider God's revelations in the bible and the fact that he created a perfect world on earth before the Fall of mankind, it is difficult for me to reconcile "perfection" with the need to create more races. Divine perfection is just that, perfect.

So for God to have stated our creation was perfect and then for Him to create more races, who would also have to be perfect (God cannot create actual imperfection, only potential imperfection) seems to be a logical impossibility. I can come up with no rigorous theological concepts to justify such an act by a perfect being.

I have not worked through the philosphical and theological arguments thoroughly, so for now I am "winging it". This is a topic that has been on my radar screen for more research and I have some students who are also interested in pursuing their divinity doctorates in this area as well. When I am better equipped, I will post a more cogent analysis and rationale to some future question.

The jury is still out on that one. No one has proven that we are or are not, the only life forms in the universe. There is just no way to prove or disprove it.

To prove there is other life elsewhere, a Spaceship from another galaxy would have to land on Earth and its occupants make themselves known - OR - we would have to build an intergalactic space ship that could travel to the stars and explore potential hot spots for advanced life forms. We are nowhere near that level of technology - so we have to wait for E.T. to show himself publicly.

We have very large egos and we feel we are the only beings in the whole universe, just because we have not met anyone else.

We're not. It's statistically impossible if someone actually sits down and really thinks about the size of the universe. It's ENORMOUS.

Who told you we were?.....that is very very very unlikly.... while it is not "in the Bible" there is no reason to think we are the only ones God made... His Word and Will for us on this planet are made known to those who accept Him... but He has not revealed any facts about any other beings out there... if there are I am sure he gave them instrution aplicable to their situation just as he has for us here on earth...... I hope God will allow me to explore a bit out there and even visit some of the other beings... once my mortal time here is done.

That's pretty short sighted of you. If you were smart enough to travel to other planets and saw being like us ready to dissect your butt would you make contact. Aliens are smart for not talking to us.
