I have not forgotten what monotheism stands for. It literally means a belief in one God.

However that does not necessarily translate to the Unity of Faith, Existance and God that you speak of, nor does it speak to the hearts, minds and souls of all humanity. For many people, myself included, the universe shows MANY divine faces. That does not exclude a Unity of Faith as the Norse, Greeks, Romans, Celts, and Egyptians all had Unities within their respective pantheons.

Eh, it depends on how you view the divine monotheism though. Many Christians accept it as a separate thing, and the closest to unity to it is serving it in Heaven.

'course, I'm a Pagan who acknowledges a monotheistic entity, but it's far more complex than just that...

Monotheism simply means "Belief in one God." I don't know where you get that unity stuff.

monotheism does not necessarilly posit your 3 duties.

I could imagine a religion that believes in a single deity who created everything that wishes only to be left alone and not bothered with continual praise and prayer. It would still be monotheism though.

Monothesim simply means one-god. That's it. Add whatever meaning you may but you can only expect people to define it in its literal sense as a belief structure with only one god.
