I've no idea what's this call but some guys does do such stuffs to gain your attention once they noticed you but they are shy to do a proper, polite approach instead. :/
I guess it's just pure shyness and with no idea on how to gain attention, then they try to say stuffs that you don't like.. and this is how certain couples start off from disliking each others and daily quarrels then slowly getting to know each other after sometimes. By doing so, you realize you get to remember him more often? Although not in a nice way but hey! In your mind, it's easy to remember him up! Hah..
