Find what it is you LIKE to do! First thing. You didn't post in your "About me" so I hope you don't see this post as cruel. If I am, plz ignore me as I mean no insult.

I'm retired, too. I read, play musical instruments - none of them do I play well - look at stuff on-line, socialize, watch movies on my 32" flat screen, mow the grass, walk the dogs, play games on my PS2, and if I'm real good (as of late since they closed Rosy Roads) I get to go sailin'! I'm pretty busy. I'm also happy. Been retired since '93 and lovin' ever' minute! Got a big project this coming Spring/Summer '07, and it'll be plenty of hard work. Probably won't be done till next year. And I don't even mind if I drop dead doin' it, 'cause it's something I WANT to do!

I've been flat and I've been flush, and I prefer flush. I know I'll never be rich and in fact I'm broke most of the time but I don't mind at all. My philosophy; don't get stuck trying to do... just do. But do what you like!

As a retired person you should devote your time in social work. Reading is the best occupation for retired people. Try to earn money after retirement is greediness. Besides it lacks self respect. At the time of retirement you would be holding a reasonable good position. To work after retirement amounts to degradation.

The job with the greatest rewards is helping others. Boy Scouts, Big Brothers and foster homes, in the jails....etc..you are needed greatly out there on the streets working with gangs. Join a local church or civic organizations. You are sorely needed sir, get with it!!!!!!!!!!

well i guess, congrats. Music my friend, playing music. I'm not sure if you do or do not play any instrument, if not, guitar or piano( a bit costly!) will be a great companion for you. I also recommend, wood carving. Great stuff ! good luck!
