Can a Mother Hurt Her Child ?

when i was 5 years old , i went to my mom at the kitchen and asked her for money to buy candies & sweets but she said no ,then i went to play and i found some money on the table in the living room , so i took some of it & went to The mini market across the street and bought what i wanted , when i got back home , she saw me eating the candies and she was very mad at me , she went to the kitchen and after few minutes she got back with a very hot Fork and buned my left hand skin .

Now , after all these years ( i am 26 now ) , i was watching TV and she fell asleep in the chair next to me , i looked at her and looked at the signs of the old burns on the skin of my left hand and asked myself ( how could she Burn the skin of her 5 years old child for taking a couple of dollars without her permission ? )

is it possible for a mother to hurt her child For doing a small Mistake like this one ?

Yes, not all mothers love their children. Many kids are made to feel like an incovenience to parents. One day remind her of what she did and make her apologize. Let her live with the consequences of what she did. Let her know that pain is still there.

Clearly its possible. Considering it wasnt a continuous routine of beatings and such... she didnt get to how bad it could have gotten. But on the other hand the measures she took was durastic. Have you ever talked to your mom about the expierence because if has obviously impacted you..... I think she was at the low of lows and probably extremely frustrated with dealing with a young kid because at times people get over their head and dont know how to handle themselves. I would really talk to her about it just to see why she would think that was even remotely okay to do?

It won't be the first time it's happened. Sometimes you have basically good people who are lousy at their jobs. Being a parent does not come with instructions, but she was WAY out of line with that one. It seems she also had no common sense.

yes my mother well did not burned my skin but she kicked my but and broke my tail bone for no reason at all, and to top it all off she said she wishes she put me up for adoption and I told her she should of because I might of found a better mother than she is. good luck,I have not been close to my mother since I found out she had abondond me when i was a new born

sorry to say it but yes it is possible and it does happen everyday in this country its sad that these monsters are allowed to have children, just be happy that thats the only thing that happened to you and you are older now and can protect yourself unlike lots of these children that suffer much worse abuse and or death, my heart goes out to them. read a book called "a boy named it".
