I live in the south, and people here are pretty dang courteous, until they hit the highways. My biggest pet peeve would probably be slow people in the left lane who won't move over, and also tailgaters who ride my bum and refuse to pass, even when I slow down and give them plenty of room.

And I'd have to say that the worst drivers are in Louisiana. Hey, I love Louisiana, but the drivers there are awful and inconsiderate.

What is your biggest pet peeve about other drivers? Where are the worst drivers in the US, in your opinion?

People who don't obey the lines on the road. Just last week I was sitting at a green light waiting for traffic to clear so I could turn left, and some idiot passed me on the left, over the double yellow line into oncoming traffic, and got hit head-on by the car I was waiting for. Two cars absolutely totalled, four people injured. All because this biatch crossed over a double yellow line for no apparent reason. And do you know what she told me when I pulled her door open to see if she was hurt, which she was? She said "The other car just came out of nowhere!" I told her that the problem was that she was on the wrong side of the road. The worst drivers I have encountered as a whole are in south Orange County, California. It's the only place I ever feel that I need to be grossly over-cautious, bordering on paranoid, and also the only place where I have ever seen a car upside down on the sidewalk with no one else around and the driver crying into her cell phone with her kid standing next to her.

My greatest pet peeve is those who drive at high speeds and weave in and out of traffic. My second greatest peeve is those who shave, read, eat food, listen to iPod and do anything else besides concentrating on the road.

I've never been to Louisiana but I would avoid the state due to corrupt police and legal system where the police and the courts share fines and seized property. Napoleonic law ended in France - it needs to be ended in Louisiana ASAP.

Finally, the worst drivers are in Boston, New Jersey and the DC metro area. I hear Los Angeles drivers are bad but I've never been to LA.

Just to throw this in, I used to drive big-trucks over the road. From my observation Louisiana may rank up there at the top. Ohio is bad also. Surprisingly, New York has some good drivers. At least upstate anyway.

I dont' know about the states, but come to Calgary Canada. People ride your ***, cut you off, don't signal, dive to slow in fast areas, drive to fast in slow areas, weave in and out of traffic, pay more attention to their phone conversation then to the road, and in general, think they're the only one on the road. Then there are the people who pull right up on your bumper when you're stopped on a hill and in a standard, standards roll back, I'm glad my truck has a 1/4 inch steel bumper that is indistructable. Then again, it classifies as following to close and they can be charged..

not using directional signals, tailgaiting, pulling on the road and not getting up to speed, talking on the cell-phone and slow drivers that go under the speed limit when the roads are clear and it is sunny out. There are bad drivers everywhere but I think alot of them are here in NC

People who drive with blinders on, look straight ahead, change lanes and not even see that a car is beside them. They are only concerned with where their front bumper is.
