Why the older version? Is it for an older version of Windows?

Is there a specific reason why you want Ver. 4? Ver. 8 is out now.

Acrobat has a nasty habit of screwing up if you download one version when you have another one installed. I recommend you uninstall any other version you might have before downloading 4.0

I am not sure why you would need it, the latest version is 8.0, but you can get older versions here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2_allversions.html sorry, but the oldest version you can get is 5.0.5
