I'd suggest you go to a pediatric sleep clinic. Sleep difficulties can be a sign or more serious issues.

Well, (and this is not mean-spirited sarcasm) the great thing about the Lord is that you don't have to look for Him in Yahoo Answers...that aside, it would depend on what you mean by 'never'. If you mean that she doesn't sleep as often or long as you would expect, I wouldn't worry too much. If you literally mean that she never sleeps (or sleeps dangerously little), see a doctor (especially if laying off sugar, caffiene, and red dye 40 doesn't work). In cases which are as rare as they are extreme, people have died from sleep deprivation.

Take a look at her diet. Is she eating lots of sweets before her bedtime? The sugar can keep her wired for hours. Try a different routine and be consistent with it. Try giving her a glass of warm milk shortly before her bedtime. Put her to bed and don't allow it to be interrupted. Encourage her to relax and get used to being in bed at a specific time, every night. Get into the habit of putting on some soft music at her bedtime that will lull her to sleep. If none of this works, you should definitely take your daughter to your family doctor.

If you have tried all the little hints, such as having quiet time before she goes to bed, having her get plenty of exercise during the day, etc. then the poor little thing needs to be checked out by a doctor.
I had terrible insomnia as young as that and I have struggled every since. Please try to get her some help now.
Before you go to a doctor, keep a diary of her sleep (or lack of it), her diet, etc. The doctor should ask these questions. He or she will take you more seriously if you have the answers ready to these questions.
Good luck to you and your little girl.

Start by regulating her diet, crazy lady. You can't expect your child to sleep if your shoveling processed sugar down their throat right before bed. Don't feed her processed sugar, and she could also have a condition called "sleep apnea disorder", which means that she can never fall completely asleep. Work with a doctor.

Try sleeping with her. Try not to let her take naps during the day so she can sleep at night. Eventually she has to fall asleep.
