so i finally got asked out by this cute guy i have liked forever.....
and he tells me he will pick me up @ 7 on his bike..... so i say cool~! right???
he shows up at my house with his old banana seat bike and i have to ride on the back.. he didnt even smile, laugh, or acknowledge that i may have thought it was a motorcycle he was talking about..
it took us almost an hour to get where we were going riding up hills in the slush ...holding up traffic. i was so embarrassed. for me. for him. just in general. what a goof!

Dating with a bike(cycle) is the most romantic one !!!!...... We had a great time just by riding together wherever we want ...
Stop being such a snob, expecting cool showoff stuff and costly dates.

I guess you will look back on that date many years later and have a bit of a giggle at it. Can't say I have ever heard of anyone being picked up for a date on a push bike.

I don't know what your problem is. At least he had a banana seat. You could have had to ride the handlebars.

He's probably used to traveling everywhere on his bike so he doesn't even think of it as weird or realize that you might have misunderstood him.

Haha, that totally made my day. It sounds to me like he's a great guy, sweet, cute...but i think he was just way nervous! i would date him again (maybe you should plan it this time ;D) and make a big effort to make him feel comfortable. maybe he'll come out of his shell and be himself. but if it turns out that this WAS himself, not nerves, idk, sounds kinda weird to me. lol. Maybe he was just testing you, I haven't done that but maybe he just wanted to see how patient you are, how whiling you are to support him during the good and bad moments or he is just a dee dee dee!!!!
