Sins are not of no consequence, as there is always a consequence, but we don't have to deal with the guilt of it any longer with Christ as our Saviour.

The bible never says our sins are of no consequence. You are saved by believing, confessing and repenting. Repenting is the process of ceasing your sin and turning to the obedience of God.
Furthermore, regardless of your salvation, the consequence for your sin still stands. Fortunately for us, Jesus took the punishment for us if we believe and repent. The cross is the punishment for our sins.
Lastly, nothing you can do can make you right in God's eyes. The bible says our righteousness is like filthy rags. That means it doesn't matter how good you are, you're still a dirty sinner until God picks you up and wipes you off. It's not in your hands. You NEED Jesus.

I believe I'd better spell everything correctly, or I'll get it just as you have!! We are saved if we accept the free gift of salvation given to us by Jesus dying for our sins and paying the penalty for our sins. The consequence for sin is death, but Jesus paid the price. But that doesn't mean that we can continue to willingly sin and get a free ticket to heaven. We need to accept Jesus, the gift of salvation, repent (which means to be sorry and CHANGE), and FOLLOW Him. Just believing isn't enough (even satan believes and trembles). We are sinful (born into sin), and are made righteous in God's eyes thru the washing of our sins by the blood of Christ. We need a personal relationship with Jesus and can have it when we ask Jesus into our hearts. He will renew our spirits and thru Spiritual Food (His Word), we grow in our walk with Him and become stronger Christians.

In my opinion Jesus never asked his own to consider themselves sinners in a sense that commonly prevails. Therefore the question of any sins being of any consequence or otherwise does not arise. If we consider that there is one supreme power and we call that power the God then that power would never expect us to be right or wrong in its eyes. The reason is simple : that power imbibes everything -whole of the nature with all its perceptions of right or wrong.Another thing that makes the whole point redundant is that there is nothing absolutely right or absolutely wrong. It directly depends on the power with which something is done or said.As long as power is enough to sustain the proposition ,it is right else wrong. So just see on what side you are?In his own times Jesus was held wrong because the power was on the other side.Later when his teachings found disciples in powerful kings he became right ,still is and will continue to be right as long as his teachings find support among high and mighty. This is true of all religious thoughts and concepts whether Jesuit,Islamic, Jewish ,Hindu,Buddhist,Taoist. In this light it is just sufficient to ask yourself that what you have done is right for the society around you?If the answer is resounding yes then you can rest assured that the God will also be on your side.

i believe we were saved the minute he gave his life for us. but i also believe that its up to you to stay saved. there is no such thing is once saved always saved. if this wasn't true then any child who died as an infant would be lost because they are to young to accept Jesus. and what about the mentally ill. they would be lost also. people know the scripture and some can repeat it word for word but most of them dont understand it. no where have i read in the bible you must accept jesus as your own personal lord and savior what it says is john:14 6: Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me. there are so many things that people twist around in the bible and try and change the meaning. what that means is Jesus gave his life so that we would have a chance at eternal life. jesus tells us how we should live our lives. he speaks the truth and with out him we would not even have a chance. and if we dont follow his teachings then we are giving up our eternal gift of life.
In sted of asking people do you accept jesus as your personal lord and savior
why not say " Lets not let jesus suffering be for nothing and his death be in vain" after all he died for each one of us.
how many people would suffer and die to give the world a chance to live?

as stated above me the wages of sin are death weither you belive in jesus or not your still gonna die! we all die. there is no way out of it. why do you think jesus is gonna come back for 1000 years befor the judgement its to teach us. but if we dont live now as jesus has tought us we will not be there with him befor the judgement. and the point that was made above about once saved always saved thats a very good point i have never looked at it like that.

we sin! All day long! But we don`t wanna sin, right? We recognise our sins and we try not to sin no more.....if you know that thing you do it`s a sin and you keep doing it, than you live in sin and that`s what God doesn`t like! OUR IGNORANCE! our independence from Him.........so repent,me and you!

I have figured out that the greatest stumbling block is that we refuse to admit to our conviction. We cannot admit we are guilty and so we suffer.
I believe in the Bible.

It's not enough to simply be sorry. You must confess and repent and abide in His Word so you can live a life honoring Him.
