I have made the drive from Atlanta to Macon several times. It takes approximately 1.5 hours if you go with the flow of traffic - speed limit driving will take longer.

Depending on traffic and the time of day you go, its about an hour and a 1/2 to a 2 hour drive and its almost 84 miles.
