I'm currently using Reason 3.0 and Acid 6.0 - neither of these can do anything as far as recording vocals or instruments. I'm considering getting Ableton live 6 or Sound Forge, but I'm not sure which one is best for recording vocals and guitars professionally (and without buying new hardware). Which program is best for me?

I'm using a PC, so it has to be a compatible product. I'm open to anything that is used professionally, so please let me know your thoughts.

I use GarageBand. Then again of course, I am using a Macintosh. I don't know anything about recording software for Windows.
