Remember the show on TV years ago I saw, a man holding two large brass rings ( the size of hoola hoops ) and began the trick with them seperated showing the audience, then moved them to and fro and they linked together...HOW did he do this?

The illusion is where the man holds the rings. There is actually a break in the rings that he manages to keep out of your sight. The joining and unjoining is done behind his hand, while he distracts you, in a conversation. Honest! That is how it is done. See the site below, and look at the picture, see the space in the ring?
