You have been keeping dark feelings at bay by drinking now that you have stopped they are surfacing. You need to seek professional help before you hurt someone. These feelings are not right you may have triggered something from drinking so much over the years and the only way you are going to get over these feelings is by medication and therapy if I were you I would consider checking into rehab clinic just so you are safe and people are safe in your community these feelings may turn on yourself and I would hate to think that you would wake up and being blind from not realizing your own actions. Please seek help immediately if you are open to these feelings then you are on the way to recovery you need a helping hand reach out for help plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God Bless and Good Luck

Nope, not in my book and I'm a Mental Health professional. You've been sober, what, about 3 days? You might be going thru a type of withdrawal, so you should contact your doctor asap. You might also have a co-occuring mental health diagnosis that has not been treated, or treated effectively (such as bi-polar disorder, depression) whose symptoms are surfacing now that the alcohol isn't keeping them at bay. Either way, don't act on your inclinations and get yourself in to see someone pronto!

Yes , this is quite normal for a person in your condition. You said you quit drinking but did you surrender ? Do you go to AA ? Do both and you might get your life and your sanity back .

Yes it is, have a drink and don't stop until the bad feelings go away. Quitting is not a very mature response to anything.
