You can stay in the barracks unless you submit the paperwork to be moved to housing. And until all the paperwork is done they won't move you. You may even have to extend to stay at your current duty station. I've know soldiers who have been stuck in barracks for 6 months after they got married just because they had a bad S-1 higher up.
Did you marry a civilian or a soldier? If you married a civilian move in with her until your paper work is done, you won't get BAH until it is done, but nobody will care you are living off post.
If you marry a soldier only one of you will draw BAH, highest ranking. If she is already off post move in with her, if not you just have to wait until your paper work is through.

Your entitled to the barracks at any point that your dependents are not with you. If your dependents are with you then they place your family usually in the base lodge while the last of your things are packed up and moved out. You can not stay at the barracks if they are with you.

TECHNICALLY WHEN STATESIDE AND MARRIED LIVING IN BARRACKS IS NOT AUTHORIZED.HOWEVER THIS IS UP TO YOUR CO. OR 1SG.
I AM DEPLOYED NOW FOR 2ND TIME AND MY FAMILY STAYED AT POST AREA BECAUSE RELOCATION IS NOT AUTHORIZED FOR FAMILY, SO IF YOU ARE WAITING FOR YOUR SPOUSE/FAMILY TO MOVE THERE ,YOU MAY HAVE TO FIND HOUSING ON OR OFF-POST IMMEDIATELY, BUT NCO OR COMMAND SHOULD HELP YOU.

If you are married they should provide housing or offbase housing allowance for you both, or do you not want to be with your wife?
