My husband has some darvocet N 100/650. Would this be a stronger medicine to help with this pain?

Talwin doesn't do much for stones. I've had 14, and they've always given me Percocet or Mepergan Fortis. Neither of these can be called in, so you'd have to see your doc for a scrip. My advice would be to go to the ER, they'll give you a shot or some pain meds in an IV and you'll get real relief right away. Also, don't take the Darvocet at the same time as the Talwin. The "NX" stands for Naloxone, an opiate agonist that will interact with the Darvocet in a bad way and make you feel even worse. Good luck!

It is not a good idea to share meds...your Dr. probably has a answering service, you can call him and tell him the meds he prescribed are not working and he'll probably call in a stronger script for you to your pharmacy...or if it's too bad go to the emergency room...please try these options before sharing anyone else's meds...you may be alergic to the darvocet and that would be a bad thing.

1st please try not to share medication. I have had kidney stones and I am surprised that he prescribed Talwin (it is a good medicine) for the type of pain you might already be having. Contact your doctor and be direct....the Talwin is insufficient to manage your pain.

There is no medicine to treat pain. Pain killers kill the patient not the pain.
Acupuncture and S pole of magnet treat stones. Ayurvedic medicines also treat it. So treat it, don't take pain killers, they are harmful.
