EDIT: wow, tons of people posted as i was writing this...

Actually, the first person who posted an answer is mistaken. It is a common misconception that there isn't a verse. This is why this topic is so controversial. Sure, it doesn't say exactly what you said, as in, "gay people are condemned to hell" but, there are many verses where the bible condemns homosexuality. It does indeed clearly illustrate that it is a sin and that God doesn't want us to be homosexual, or commit any other sin.

For example:

Leviticus 18:22 states: "Thou shall not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination." also, depending on translation "If a man also lies with a man as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they should surely be put to death." This stuff is pretty serious.

from Romans,

"And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved. When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done. (Romans 1:27-28 NLT)

There's much more where that came from...take some time too google more verses if you aren't convinced, there are many.

Sure, people can debate all they want to make it seem like they are allowed to do anything they want, anything can be twisted or manipulated to say one thing or another, but, God has rules on these things, he got them written in His book. To me, it's pretty damn simple, and science and biology explains it for us all...you're obviously doing something incorrect if you know it is impossible to procreate from two people of the same gender. The whole reason we have genders is so that we can continue on the human race...how dumb can people be...Homosexuality serves no purpose, and I believe it is something humanity could go without.

You will not find those words in the Bible. What you will find however is that God created man and woman, that he meant for the man to leave his father and his mother and cleave unto his wife. Genesis 2:24-25 And you will also find in 1 Corinthians 6:9....Don't you know that those doing such things have NO share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who live immoral lives, who are idol worshippers, adulterers, effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. And in Romans 1:26....That is why God let go of them and let them do all these evil things, so that even the women turned against God's natural plan for them and indulged in sex sin with each other. It also says in Leviticus 18:22......Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. The entire 18th chapter of Leviticus is on forbidden sexual practices.
Just remember, (1 Corinthians 10:13) But remember this - the wrong desires that come into your life aren't anything new and different. Many others have faced exactly the same problems before you. And no temptation is irresistible. You can trust God to keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it, for He has promised this and will do what he says. He will show you how to escape temptation's power so that you can bear up patiently against it.

Where does it say anyone on this page or anywhere else can judge the sins of another and condemn them to eternal damnation? It doesn't. It's long over due to stop imposing 2,000 year morals from a fantasy book on modern people.

None. There is the passage in Leviticus and 1 Corinthians but homosexuality was an accepted practice in the 1st Century AD. The growing Christian church accepted only reformed homosexuals - those who permanently gave up homosexuality.

Now that homosexuality has become accepted and tolerated, see what Ted Haggard thinks about the above question.

none.. but if it did, do u really believe it? Is it not a bunch of stories told by millions of people over time, translated millions of times, and open to our own interpretation or that of our preacher, who has a totally different mind than ours? There's many versions of the bible, there's many languages of the bible.... it's all opened for interpretation really.. you just gotta go by faith.. and if your heart's there, that's all that counts... God knows everything about you already anyway.. don't fret.

It doesn't just include homosexuals, it includes all other sinners that CONTINUE in their ways that go against God's design and pattern. In Romans, He clearly describes that female and male homosexuality is an abomination to God. Also in the Old Testament there is a list of all sexual misconduct, that is detestable to the Lord. This includes heterosexual sexual misconduct too. God is not a respector of persons, He applies the Laws to everyone fairly, because He loves them and does not want to see them suffer. No matter what we all do that goes against what God has planned for us it will always lead to destruction, either early in life or later or after death if there is no repentance towards the ways and things of God. What He wants for us is better then what we want for ourselves.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with
a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall
surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Then again---your wife could be stoned to death if she wasn't a virgin on your wedding night!!
It's these outdated barbaric laws that should keep us wary of Biblical morals!!
Christ asked his followers to cease judging & condemning others--wouldn't it be nice if Christians decided to obey Christ!!!
