It's more romantic looking up into his eyes, then looking down at him?
That's just a guess. I personally prefer taller guys because it feels uncomfortable being taller than the man I'm with.

For the same reason some guys like women with big breasts and some guys like women with smaller ones. It is all personal preference. Not all women like tall guys. In the long run, it really depends on the guy. Someone may be initially attracted to someone based on height or looks, but no one is going to just stay with someone based on that alone.

I don't believe this is quite true.
I know tall women who are happily married to shorter men, for the simple reason they liked the character of the man.
From what I have noted many short men have stronger characters than a lot of tall men.
So it isn't all about the out side packaging.

You know I really think that tall women might have a tall guy complex, because they might feel insecure about being taller than the man.

It's just a stupid idea that if your man is big or tall then he will be able to protect you...
I have been out with some shorter guys, but ended up marrying a 6 foot 2 guy that couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag!

It's almost like the animal kingdom, for example...the Lion. The males have huge hairy heads and are bigger and stronger than the females. It's all a show for the girls to see that the male can be strong, protective and territorial. The female is attracted to his ability to defend, protect and fight for his pride (that the lion group, not his feeling of pride).
Same thing with women liking taller guys...it's a visual thing that women unknowingly understand as being stronger, masculine, tough...
When you study social science a little more in your school years...you'll find that there's a lot of scientists that explain our human behavior as a remnant of animalistic experiences back in our history when we lived in the wild....millions of years ago.
It made sense to me growing up.
My husband is taller than me...that has always been my preference, mostly because when he hugs me I like my head to rest on his chest so I can hear his heart beating and I can snuggle my face by his neck.
It's more of a romantic thing than animalistic...so I don't know what social theorists would say about that.

Hey, I hear short guys have the biggest d*cks...but anyway, it's not just that...I just feel more intimidated when I'm standing taller than a guy, like I should be the one protecting him from something. I have nothing against short guys, though. They tend to be the sweetest, actually :-)

Women like taller guys because we like to feel like he could protect us. We like to feel tiny next to them. Stand on our toes to kiss them. Know they would be able to pick us up if we twisted our ankle or just be able to toss us like a rag doll onto a bed and have his way with us. It makes us feel feminine. And it turns us on. And a tall guy usually has a bigger dick. Also there is nothing worse than not being able to wear stilettos on a date. That being said... there are always exceptions. If a short guy is beautiful or funny or super sweet. Really nice to us and treats us like a princess. We will fall for him. Especially if he likes going down on us and is actually good at it. So practice practice. Because practice makes perfect!!! (find a girl who's willing to experiment and teach you-you can always teach her how to give a proper ********)

Personaly. I love short guys. But I suppose it is because a tall guy can wrap compleatly around them, the 'blanket thing' as I call it when my best friend and her boyfriend do that. aka 'the obnoxious'. lol

It is simply that average to tall guys a woman would feel more protected with. You would be able to compensate for this if you were able to show that you could protect them.
