I am a muslim girl, but that doesnt mean I cant have feelings for a guy right?? I have feelings for this boy at school, and he is really nice. I don't see him that much though, we're not in the same homeroom. Would it be bad to go with a group of responsible friends and him to the movies?? Like hang out with him, not alone of course... It would be nice to have opinions from muslims too.

as long as your parents approve yes you may be responsible and attend public functions where he will also be.

This could be activities at school, mosque, or with a group of friends.

But you should at least discuss the prospect of hanging out with this guy in the right setting with one of your parents. They will be able to guide you.

Islam isn't here to make life hard on you, the rules because Allah knows what is best for you.

Dating is not allowed in Islam, as we know it in Western society.

I would advise against going out with him even with friends (friends are usually worse than being alone as they encourage stupid behavior sometimes).

Also you can have feelings for whoever you want, but it is what actions come of those feelings that you must be careful of.
If it is a non-muslim you are out of bounds sis :P

If you're of marrying age in Islam, then maybe you can go with friends while he's around, as long as there's an adult chaperone around. You can invite him over for a meal with you and your family too. Whatever you do, make sure there is an adult around. Also, if you are prepared to marry someone, that is the only time to seek the opposite sex, according to my understanding of Islamic courtship.

We Baha'is don't exactly date per se, we have courtship. We don't do stuff like the norm. We seek the opposite sex for marriage, not for flitty dating. Isn't it that way in Islam too? I thought it was. I thought there's no flitty dating, but serious-minded stuff. And chaperoned stuff, nothing secluded of course.

Practice your deen. If you like him, and you're of marrying age, do this within the rules of your deen. God bless, and good luck!

if you going to meet in public infront of everyone seen, then keep the conversation respectable to the limit of Islam. here is a verse from the Quran to read:

[235] .....but do not make a promise of contract with them in secret except that you speak an honorable saying according to the Islâmic law. ......
Quran Quran 2:235

I see no reason to avoid doing what you propose. The Qur'an calls for modest dress; it does not demand that you act like a vegetable.
