If you're the only one that notices, - then you DON'T have a problem. We ALL have a slight body scent (that's how our pets recognize us); & most of the time we drown ourselves in so much chemical crap to smell "better"- I'm surprised more of us aren't dropping dead from toxic perfume!!! And by the way; our bodys scent has a purpose; it's an attractant to the opposite sex. Perfumes are designed to ENHANSE that scent- NOT replace it. So stop obsessing about it. I bet the next guy that kisses you- will think you smell just fine... :)

it sounds like you take very good care of your higene, so before i answer your question: are you sure you are not just being a little overly paranoid? i mean, ask a close friend what he/she thinks, someone who will give you a straight and sincere answer. cause my best guess is that you are the only person who's actually perceiving the smell.
There are a number of factors that are possible reasons for the smell of your body.
1. Diet. What you eat affects the odor of the fluids discharged by your body. Sweat being one of them. Try changing your diet a little to see if it improves.
2. Eccrine sweat glands. Unlike the type of sweat glands that are in places like your armpits, your body is also covered by a different type of sweat gland called Eccrine sweat glands. Although these glands are primarily for temperature regulation and the main discharge is water and salt, there are also minute amounts of fatty materials, urea and other wastes. You can't really do much about this, it's just genetic.
3. (And probably the most important one!!) Acid Mantle: your entire skin is protected by an acidic film called the acid mantle, which acts as a protective barrier against viruses and bacteria, (which are usually alkaline in nature).
the acid mantle is the reason why the same perfume smells slightly different on different people's skin. it is also the reason why some people smell different even after a shower. Once again, the acidity of each person's acid mantle is determined by genetics, so you can't change that. BUT you can kind of fight it by picking the right body wash. DONT buy a body wash based on how nice it smells or how strong it smells. Do some research and find out the pH (acidity) of each body wash. Remember that a bad soap will be mildly alkali and you actually want a soap that is slightly acidic (maybe with a pH between 5 and 6. Neutral 7 would also be ok, but it would depend on your skin).
Now which soap is best for your skin? you'll just have to figure it out by trial and error.

The smell could be the toxins sweating from your pores on your skin. What you eat can cause this. Garlic is one culprit, not only does it smell, it makes you smell. Foods with lots of acids in them can make you smell also. Drink more water. I would consult a doctor to rule out anything serious. Do you take vitamins? If so, check the iron content, you may be getting too much. If you wash every day and use deodorant, that should be enough. Try not wearing perfumes for a couple days, and ask your friends and family to HONESTLY tell you if they think you smell. You may just have an overly sensitive nose also. Another cause is your menstrual cycle. Women emit 'scent' different times of the month, yours may just be stronger than usual.

Im a teen, but I dont really think its because your a teen. Maybe your using a bad kind of shampoo? Maybe its the soap you use to wash your clothes with. Maybe its the area around you, and you may have kept it in your nose. Maybe its an allergy. You might be using a bad perfume or deoderant.

Maybe it's your clothes? Although it may seem a bit far-fetched, they might be collecting smell. Do you have a paticularly dirty room where clean clothes will lay next to dirty clothes? Because that might be a problem.
Or maybe your room just smells bad, and seeps into everything else. Open your window for fresh air (if the weather permits.)

Maybe its your house, or your room. clean your room out, open windows, wash everything (curtains, bedsheets, etc.), febreze everything, use airfreshner... maybe thats why your clothes is collecting the smell. if that doesnt work, go to the doctor and talk to them about it. im so sorry that youre going through this. good luck.

The only thing I know of that causes this is candidiasis. One of the symptoms is body odor that is not relieved by washing.
