i like putting a little plain oatmeal in them.. it helps absorb other things such as hot sauce or worcestershire sauce, when they cook it makes a nice crispy outer shell (i like em like that), and makes them healthier

Many things depending on the flavor you want. Onions minced or powder, garlic minced or coarse garlic salt w/parsley(my fave), garlic pepper, Italian seasoning, onion soup mix or any flavor soup that comes in a dry packet, BBQ sauce, anise seed crushed to a fine powder(gives it a sausage flavor, I use this in hamb when I make spaghetti or lasagna) and finally you can make cheeseburgers outside in: Say you want 4 hamburgers, make 8 thin patties, place cheese on 4 of the 8 patties and place the remaining patties to cover the cheese, seal edges of patties and grill, trying not to smash them to death(I know it's hard to do, they swell up so much!) The trick to keeping the cheese from sneaking out, don't smash and use a harder cheese, like swiss, sharp cheddar, even some colbys. Get creative! Try mixing some of the first few ingredients I listed together, like onions, garlic and BBQ, or onions, anise and Italian seasoning, you'll find something you'll love eventually.
I hope I gave you some new options!

I like to take a packet of Lipton's Onion soup mix, dump it in the bottom of a large bowl, soak it with about 2 or 3 tablespoons of Lea& Perrins Worcestershire (sp?) sauce and then mush it into the ground beef (usually 1.5 to 2 lbs of meat). This makes the BEST, juiciest hamburgers I have ever had. Really easy to do, too.

Sometimes it's really tasty to add a package of the Hidden valley ranch powder mix. Lipton onion soup is yummy too and these are such easy ways to make a flavorful burger.

soften some butter. combination in some chopped onions (very finely chopped so as that they provide style yet no longer crunch). upload Garlic Powder and Lowry's Seasoning Salt. combination that into your floor pink meat and save some in a bathtub to brush on as they grill. they are going to be the main fabulous burgers of your existence. I had a steak a pair weeks in the past close to Atlanta and this place positioned a tiny little bit of syrup on it on a similar time because it became cooking. i became very much taken aback before everything, even nonetheless it became rather solid. maybe attempt one burger with that on it.

Pot-roast seasoning pack.
Saw it on Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee on the Food Network. I didn't think it would turn out so well, but my daughter and her friends devoured a stack of burgers (I'm talking four -six year olds) that I made for the guys (four - thirty-somethings) during the Superbowl. I had to go out and buy more stuff to make more burgers!

If you are making them from scratch try making it to a meatloaf recipe instead of a hamburger recipe. Eg - make meatloaf mixture and shape into small patties to grill instead of bake.

It all depends on your taste. what i like to do is i chop about two tablespoons of onion really fine (thats per pound of beef) i also like to just a smidge of onion salt. if done really lightly then you dont need a bunch of sauces although its nice to put them on the table for those who do like them. it gives the beef jsut that little kick naturally and you dont have to worry about the gewie stuff on your grill.

Worcestershire sauce (a pungent table sauce), is good. You could also add spices like garlic, or Lawrey's Seasoned Salt.
