Actually i'm thinking about starting a church :) lol

i saw this thing on TV about unique families and one of them was a family of wiccans and the mother was the priestess in a wiccan church that she started.
it was really cool.
i figured that this might draw some pagans into my town, then the pagan population wont be 5 anymore :)
plus my uncle really wants me to do this.

i have several Pagan wedding rituals on file. i cannot remember the websites that i got them from but if you give me your e-mail addy i will gladly send them to you.

you may check out ADF and OBOD. both druidic organisations. i know that OBOD has some free info on their site.

I also have some rituals that i have modified for "generic god usage" so as to not offend any family members that may be of a monothiestic religion.

i would suggest that you use a pre written one for a base and design your own ritual off of that template. that is what i do for the marriages and handfastingd that i preform.

There is a book by Raven Caldera called "Handfasting and Wedding Rituals". It has all kinds of pagan rites, but also includes interfaith weddings for Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Buddhist, Hindi, etc. It totally rocks. But I will excerpt what I wrote for my brothers' wedding for you here:

You only need a cord for the ceremony. The broom is up to the couple, but not necessary. The only ceremony I know of that requires a ritual athame is a blood ceremony.

Actually, e-mail me so I can send you the ceremony that way. I am an ordained minister (waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay non-denominational). Ceremony is super cool, but I don't want to have to copyright it, you know? lol

I'm doing a couple of handfastings myself come September, and found "Magickal Weddings : Pagan Handfasting Traditions For Your Sacred Union" by Joy Ferguson to be an excellent book on the subject. It takes you through pretty much everything you'll need to know, including the history and the theory behind handfastings as well as several different versions of the same ritual.

I wish you the best of luck. :-)

The best book for this the grimior of the green witch.

I am performing a hand fasting out of it this spring, and I used one of the rits as a base for my ceremony.

If you want a copy of it, I can type it up for you. Just let me know

Merry Met!
