God, or the good-hearted atheist standing on the beach?

I bet you would trust the man more than God. Does that make him better than God?

And NO, don't try and tell me that God was working through this man when he hypothetically saved you. We have free will, remember?

I'd scream out for the person on the beach. I really wouldn't care if they were an atheist or a Buddhist or a Christian, etc... I'd want them to help. After all, they can swim... or I assume they can since I assume most people can.

God is intangible, immaterial (which means he can't scoop me out of the water) and hands out miracles sparingly, remember? Why would I presume to be so lucky? Besides, he doesn't actually EXIST.

You should put your faith in God, even if the good-hearted man on the beach who was an atheist, tried to save you, if it's God's will, you'll be saved, if it's meant
that you go, then that is also God's will.

My faith will always be in God. With man it is impossible. But with God all things are possible. Whatever the case may be, God is still God whether He rises up someone to save me or not. May God Bless U.

I would put more faith in myself to rescue me, because I don't trust much people other than girlfriend and closest firends, and I don't believe in that form of god that you would be talking about to help. That just leaves myself, and I'm not swallowing ocean water while some person watches on from the beach deciding if (s)he should save me or if they would even know CPR if they did save me.

God only helps those who help themselves!
& you need heaps of people praying at the same time what I understand for prayers to be answered & just because you don't get what you ask for that does not mean he didn't answer you & it can also take a while for it to be answered i think
& he wont give you richers
you know you can't pray to win gold lotto so to speak but if you are a real faithful Christian you will have a good life

I think I would put my faith in myself and my legs that would be kicking like crazy. Just because someone is an athiest does not mean that they wouldn't save you so of course the athiest.
Afterwards you would then thank God that someone was around to help you

He would be better than God, but according to the Patriot Act he isn't on Thursdays.

Someone who could swim. If the man on the beach couldn't swim he wouldn't be worth a crap.
