Considering it wasn't translated into English until King James.....you're right. Thus the King James Version. Not all dialect written in hebrew translates to where it makes sense in English.......they "the King James Scholars"........did the best they could to translate it.........if you can translate any better........take a shot.

It could be that they were counted at two different times, or dates and the numbers changed.

Have you read any scholars' investigations of this matter to see the possible explanations, or are you just throwing mud?
