Try applying vitamin E after you get out of the bed. Vitamin E oil can be applied to the affected skin or a Vitamin E capsule can be broken and directly applied on the affected area.More cheap and natural remedies for itching at the link below.

any kind of oil (well execpt motor oil ;D....)but do not use any oils on your skin before you tan unless it's a tanning type stuff.

i have a few tattoos that are over a year old, obviously well healed, sometimes they itch REALLY bad from dryness. to top that off i live in a state where winter itch is year round. i use a 50/50 mix of emu oil and food grade coconut oil. both can be found in health food shops. the emu has a neat pain relieving effect and it's quickly absorbed by the skin. coconut oil is just a great moisturizer hence why most lotions have in in their ingredients.

if you are vegan emu oil will not violate your feelings completely. check out http://www.desertpalmsemu.com/ for more info on emu oil.

i use coconut oil alone on my son for his eczema. it actually works better than his prescribed gunk and doesn't have nasty side effects.

also i was told that most anti itch creams (hydrocortizone) and lotions can be drying. lotions have alcohols in them to make them absorb quickly. since you are tanning, anything drying is really bad. burns need lots of hydration.

after you bathe immediately apply some kind of cream or oil.

or you could look for shea butter (VERY slow to absorb buy great moisturizer) or cocoa butter (not just for stretchmarks) or a vitamin e body CREAM not lotion it will be in a jar not bottle.

After the concert I went to last year I got this stuff from the Panama Jack(c), After Sun Burn Releif... It's blue and has Aloe and Lidocaine in it.... worked magic I swear by it now in the summertime and when I tan. Don't forget to use tanning lotion in the bed and hopefully you won't burn so badly.... Hope you feel better soon!

Tanning beds are such a bad idea, I would never get in one. However I've used a self tanning creme, there are ones now that are gradual and look better than the old ones.
