Keep looking for lost souls of all ages. It is not their chronological age of body but their insight of mind. You will not convince anyone of the importance of spirituality but life lessons dispensed upon those 'surrounding people,' will guide the wise to reach farther within than without. Peace brother.

Many fear the spiritual because of fear of being punished. But
"punishment" results from the neglect of the spirit. Not from
our Creator.
Try helping them get grounded by applying the spiritual to the material. Simple things like breathing in and out to calm stress
in the body. After they get a little physical peace, they will be more open to spiritual teachings.

Only a God sent saint (not self proclaimed) is capable of doing this. We should not try it. Believe me, its a sin.
Yet one thing is important to be noted. Since we are eternal beings there is no age bar in attempting to realise our aim. Those who are totally engrossed in wordly attachments need to immediately correct themselves. Obviously those who are elderly in age have wasted their time so far, yet are lucky, that time is still there for them. They should most ardently devote their time and energy on changing their path. They should look for a spiritual guide. Youngers should not follow the path of these older ones until they know that they are following the right course.
