Why don't people wait till Marriage to have sex anymore, and why is the age of people losing virginity getting younger and younger? In my opinion its a sad sad world we live in.

People don't have the same morals and beliefs that they did once upon a time. When sex is in the media, music, tv, movies, etc., it becomes more glamourized. Kids grow up thinking it's cool. Censorship has decreased due to the changing demands and "freedom of speech." Religion isn't as prevalent in this country as it once was. It's just a changing world.

I'm definitely waiting, as is my boyfriend. While I wish they did, I don't expect everyone to want to wait until marriage because some people simply believe different things. However, the amount of meaningless sex and sensuality everywhere in our society makes me very sad. It's no wonder that so few people try to keep pure relationships when we live in a country where you can barely sell cars, shampoo or starbursts, without provocative ads and commercials. having a physical relationship with someone is amazing, but that's not the only side of a relationship and it's so easy to let it take over and ruin your relationship.
There have been so many studies that end up deciding that the earlier a couple has sex, the more likely they are to break up and also that marriages where the two have only had sex with each other have an enormous decrease in divorce rate. Sex would be awesome, but I love my boyfriend and future husband (and I'm pretty sure they're the same guy, but even if they aren't) far too much to want to hurt him.

Why are you worried about what other people do when they are not going to write you a check or pay your bills. Yes its sad that people have sex at such a young age knowing they cannot afford to have a baby. Lol, you said wait till marriage especially in the America. the day most people wait till marriage will be the day that george bush makes a good decision. By the way how do you know that people did not have sex before marriage in the past. Its impossible to prove, you just can't just go by pregnancy numbers. I just think its more acceptable for people to be public about it. People have been fornicating for centuries. The only difference was it would be shameful for the public to know.

I totally agree. People should wait until marriage. This would reduce the health insurance rate, as we wouldn't be having so many STD's such as AIDS. Kids would have two parents and you wouldn't have all these single Mom's and Dad's. People also don't take the commitment of marriage as seriously because of no-fault divorce which is now unfortuantely, allowed. Marriage creates order in society between a man and a woman, anything else creates chaos.
The reason people don't wait is they are too influenced by TV, movies, magazines, and the internet, in other words, popular culture. Instead of following God's standards, they follow the standards of the rest of the world.

Yes it's sad that people are doing that, and the really sad part is that they don't even think about what happens if they get pregnant, a child will be coming into this world without 2 loving parents.

before you go judging other people you should realize everyone has a choice. You don't want people judging you for your choice so return the favor to those of us that can get laid... haha jk
Who wants their wedding night to be a painful bloody mess? The virgin won't know anything about sex and it will be very quick for the guy. Sounds like... a whole lot of fun to wait for....

Yeah... no offense to guys you guys are awsome but I do believe a lot a guys preassure their girls to have sex with them cause they're stupid lil boys and not thinking of the consequeses.. I'm 19 still a virgin and hope to get married that way..

I agree with you, it's sad that people don't wait for marriage any more. I think it has a lot to do with peer pressure and compulsiveness.

it matters not one way or the other --- and please the world has been as depraved or more in the past --- read some history ---- and while i did wait until i was married before i lost my virginity it was an anticlimax ---- its up to the people involved --- as Austin Powers says freedom and responsibilty ---- an awesome combination and we have it now
