However, she is 4 now and starting having accidents. She was never able to stay dry at night which the Dr. says is normal and not worry but during the day is ridiculous. Please help!

Some kids just will have accidents. I think it has more to do with bladder development and is not something your daughter wants to do.

Are the accidents big ones or little ones? The reason I ask is because sometimes my 5-year-old will still have accidents (little ones) because he's too into what he's doing to take a break and go to the bathroom. He feels that he's gotten a little wet and then he goes to the bathroom. These are "little" accidents and are fairly common with kids. If this is the case with your daughter, too, have her use the potty before you go to a playgroup or another activity so you can avoid this. My other son, who's 3, has less little accidents than my 5-year-old, which makes me feel that potty training is an individual thing. Hang in there. Your little girl will get it! Good luck!

My daughter did this when she was 3 and had been potty trained for 1 1/2 yrs. We realized that she didn't want to pee and when she had an accident she would scream and cry. Found out that she had a bladder infection, after a small round of antibiotics she was fine.
Good luck.

From what I know, kids will often times regress with potty training mostly when something is bothering them...this isn't the case all the time but most of the time. All i can suggest is to see if something is bothering her or if you have had any significant life changes recently could be causing it. Sometimes it can be something small that is easily fixed. From what I was told just stick with it and hopefully it won't last that long.. Hopefully that will help

I was having trouble with my little girl. We would do great the 1st few weeks and then it would be like starting over again. One day my mom was keeping her and she poopoo in her pants. My mom sat her down and had a talk with her aout how big girls don't potty in their pants. She hasn't even had an accident since. I think since it came from someone other than me, it embarrassed her. Maybe you need someone else to talk to her about it.

i had the exact same problem with my twins. when they started preschool i thought they might wet themselves there as it turned out they stopped after the first day. so maybe try to have her around children her age who will not wet themselves
