I have experienced the power of prayer not only in my life but in the lives of my children! My youngest son was addicted to drugs and I began to pray that my son would not be able to do drugs anymore. I began to put him on every prayer list I could think of. Pretty soon people from all over the world were praying for him! A short time after, he became very ill! We had a CAT scan done and the doctor said there was a cyst on my son's liver that was caused by him putting so many drugs in his body. Every time my son would ingest drugs he would get so sick he felt as if he were going to die. He was never able to ingest drugs again. Today, he is a law abiding, hard working, God fearing young man who loves the Lord! The cyst on his liver was benign and as long as he does not do drugs, he does not get sick!He has not done any drugs since. He gained all the weight he lost back(he got down to 125 lbs, he is 5"11) He now weighs a healthy 185 lbs. I thank God every day for His help! I continue to pray for my children and any other children that need prayer! Talking to the Lord and making your petitions known to Him is the most important thing you will ever do to help someone else. God bless those who unselfishly intercede in prayer for others! Oh, when God answers your prayer don't forget to thank Him and give Him the glory! Parents don't ever give up on your children.....all things are possible with the Lord! Pray!

Of late, many are asking this question. This is an individual experience. It may vary according to indivduals. But you have to get completely involved in prayer to experience its power. Anything can be accomplished through prayer. But there should be consistency to reap its rewards. Prayer is nothing but having fellowship with God. When you have God as your close friend, then there is nothing that cannot be done. It all depends how close you are to God to experience His power in your life.

om namah shivaya.
how can say in words the power of prayer experienced in my life.
I think without prayer man's life is like a kite without a string. We should pray not only for ourselves but for each and every being in the world.Prayer is that thing through which we can experience god in ourselves.Through prayer we can go deep within ourselves. But ,i can say that god is within me he is in my good and bad and i have experienced it that god is with me in the form of any being around me in their goodness.God in the form of my friends and my cousins has helped me and my family in the bad time.
Atlast i would like to say that prayer with good mind and heart has more effect than the prayer we do for namesake.
Om namah shivaya.

I get what I ask for, but I've learned to be specific. I've learned to be grateful for what I have and I have learned to carefully express what I want. I prayed for a year off to work on my house when I was talking to one of my friends. Three days later it burned to the ground. My business was destroyed because I worked out of my house and now I was homeless. So, I took a year off from work to work on my house. Needed to be a little more specific than that, I think.
