yes it is made up. I hate how the world is so utterly niave to believe everything that their told. i see religion as cults, and its all about numbers. religion produces hate and prejuidice towards others as well.
I just dont how people can base their lives on information that it made up by man and need absolutley no proof for anything. there is no proof of anything and i hate when people say: this is the right way, i love jesus and all that crap.
i think religion does have some good morales in it etc but I do know from experience that it produces phonies and hypocrites
we'll never know how the world was created etc..people need to learn to deal with it and accept the fact that we dont need an answer for every single question

Obviously your life does not revolve around Relligion or a relationship with Jesus who suffered and died for our sins. Christianity is a relationship, not a religion, so being a Christian, I agree that man-made religions that don't teach the Deity of God is dead. Whether you want to accept it or not you're just ignorant of Truth, there are God's angels who do Spiritual Warfare on our behalf with demonic spirits and are watching over us. The Lord IS always looking down, so keep looking up. Apparently, you're not looking up!! Don't continue to miss the miracles in your life that you probably attribute to happenstance. How insecure and scary it must be to really believe no one is watching out for us. The Lord promised He would never leave us or forsake us. Apparently, you don't accept His promises. I think if you truly accepted that Religion isn't real and no one watches over us, you wouldn't be asking. Look to the Lord for Truth. Read the manual God gave us to live by. God wouldn't just create us without a manual (the Bible), just to guess as how to live. But as with any manual, if you don't read it and follow the directions, YOU WILL NOT UNDERSTAND!! Understand??

Then you must be lost if you're the main character of the subject. Maybe you should consider Islam. Al-Islam (or "the Submission") is part of the Abrahamic religions - which includes Christianity and Judaism, but it is more perfect and was authorized by Prophet Muhammad, believed to be a descendent of Ishmael, a child of Abraham. Thus, the God we worship is the God of Ibrahim (or Abraham).
Muhammad - litrally means "One who praises" in Arabic - succeeded in converting idol worshippers all over ancient Arabia, but it almost cost him his life in the last 22 years of prophecy and his lifetime. Al-Hamdu Lilah ("Praise is to God"). See the classical English movie THE MESSAGE by Mustafa Akkad.
The Muslim book is the Holy Qur'an. Today, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world because of the miraculous words of God found in the Qur'an, passed down to Muhammad by Angel Gabriel. The Qur'an has each verse in every Surah (or "Chapter") written in poetry. They rhyme in precise tone per verse, and yet the holy book makes sense if you catch the translations. Thanks to NASA, biologists, zeologists and other scientists, the 1,400-year-old holy book has made Britons, Germans, Americans, Latinos, Africans, and even a few Israelis to convert. Today, Islam might be the second largest worldwide, but it's the fastest growing faith in the world.
Finally, Islam is similar to Judaism in culture, holy language, and all. It's like comparing Spanish to Italians. However, Jews do not believe in John the Baptist (Yahya) or Jesus Christ the Messiah (I'sa). Muslims do, and do Christians.
However, I am not meant to convince you to get a faith, but I do not wish seeing you risking your life to Hell Fire. Won't you want Heaven, or have you forgotten that the National Geographic Channel had proved that we have a common gene, that could date back to Adam and Eve? Think it over. If you are in doubt, consult ISLAMONLINE.NET and becareful while visiting fake Islamic sources, or Islamophobic ones, on cyberspace.
And the Israeli and Palestinian violence? This what happens when descendents of those. who lived in your land thousands of years ago - despite similarities, decided to kick you out to the getto for generations. Both Jews and Muslims still have a long way to go to resolve the violence there.
- Hope this doesn't violate Yahoo! regulations, although you deserve this reply as a gift from me.

Religion: this word in the original language of Latin (religio) means to relegate or rules. Most religions are rules of how to live. But Christianity is NOT a religion, it is a personal relationship with the Living God. Most religions think of good and evil, am I being good or evil.? But if you study the Scriptures in the original languages or have a pastor(a male) who does, one can learn about God and His GRACE. Many read the Bible and don't believe it or can't understand it.
I was one of those for 35 years, then I placed my faith in Jesus Christ as the True God and the Holy Spirit is the teacher. I could
go on and on because I have studied many years. Yes, there
are celestial beings which God ( Jesus Christ) created all. Col.1:15-21. But remember you were born with free volition and God will not force Himself on you. You have to choose and it sounds like you have questions.
PS: Grace is something none of us deserve but He gives it to
us freely. You being alive and walking and talking is by His Grace
whether you believe or not.

Just so you know people are trying to manipulate you...
"got on answers.yahoo.com and started answering and asking questions about religion. When I got on there (about a month or so ago), under the username of merely "Ivan", the whole Religion Spirituality section was dominated by Fundamentalist extremists telling everyone else that they were going to "burn in Hell". I started applying framing to get out my Progressive ideas about religion and spirituality and within a few days, the whole tone changed. Now, if anyone dominates it, it's Atheists and Agnostics. "
"I'm fairly proud of myself. I'm not a politician or a major activist. I'm just a Progressive religious person (a Wiccan to be precise) and all the language framing really works! "

There is no proof that gods or anything of the like exist. So why do we believe this? Some guy told us to ages ago, so it must be true..... hmm... no.
I'm going with occams razor and assuming the most likely answer to be the correct one, and that is that religion is made up, for the most part.
I'd really love for someone to prove me wrong, but... that's not possible, nor has it ever been possible. It's all about 'believing'
I can believe that mice are heavier than elephants, but it's not true.

Yes, my religion (Therevada Buddhism) teaches me that there are no celestial beings and that no one is watching over me! So if my religion is "not real", then so is your opinion :)
PS: I know that my religion was made up by a man, but that does not invalidate the logic and psychology behind core Buddhist principles.

The appeal of organized religion is created and exalted from the egocentrical human need for self-importance, interaction, acceptance, and belonging.

this is what i think
i wish i was a neutron bomb, for once i could go off
i wish i was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on
i wish i was a sentimental ornament that you hung on
the christmas tree, i wish i was the star that went on top
i wish i was the evidence, i wish i was the grounds
for fifty million hands upraised and open toward the sky
i wish i was a sailor with someone who waited for me
i wish i was as fortunate as fortunate as me
i wish i was a messenger and all the news was good
i wish i was the full moon shining off of a camaro's hood
i wish i was an alien at home behind the sun
i wish i was the souviener you kept your house key on
i wish i was the pedal brake that you depended on
i wish i was the verb to trust and never let you down
i wish i was a radio song the one that you turned up
i wish i wish...
