He had a part to play in salvation history. God's plan might not have materialized if he did not betray Jesus. He was also remorseful afterwards so I guess God might have forgiven him.

If Heaven and Hell exists, and Jesus was crucified for a reason besides people hating him....then I believe Judas is going to heaven. I think he was the only one with juevos to do what Jesus asked him to do (and it HAD to be done for that plan to work). None of the others would "betray" him. He was a true friend.

I searched this question for a reason. I, like most are searching for the truth. So, when there's a thought that comes to mind we seek for some better understanding or confirmation of that thought. Like the gospels of the bible, they are written from the perspective or view of different disciples. Like ever other comment here is their own perspective of how the see Jesus & how they receive the word of God. We all have read or seen the story of the bible, of the last supper. Hear me out, then go read it again for assurance. Now...Jesus, known to be God in the flesh, all knowing, all power, all mighty, holy spirit filled, son of man. Jesus has a purpose, to make a way for mankind to connect back with God. So, from my understanding, Jesus choose his disciple for a reason. He knew he had to go through what he went threw so that those that believe, will know the truth. God's plan is far beyond our own understanding. Yet, at the 'Last supper' when Jesus told his disciples about the betrayer amongst them, Jesus already knew who it will be because e choose, Judas Iscariot to be that person. So, when it the time called for God's plan to take action, he instructed Judas to go do what he must do and do it quickly. At that point, Satan was said to have corrupt the mind or heart of Judas, allowing the prophecy and plans of God to take effect. As well as, when Jesus told Peter that he would deny Jesus 3 times before the rooster would crow. This also appears to be instructions giving to Peter, for his own protection and so that he would not interfere with the plans of God. Jesus teaches us about forgiveness, and that we should love our enemies. Does that not include Judas and Peter for their actions. For if we cannot forgive those of their transgression, how could God forgive you of yours. So, to answer the question 'Did Judas Iscariot go to heaven or hell? can only be revealed by God. Therefore seek for the God in you, to find that answer, you must accept Jesus in your life, for he is the way and the light, only through Him may you find the truth.

Heaven. Because he was part and parcel of the events that eventually led to the fulfilling of the ancient prophecy. He did what needed to be done. Every sage or saint needs an adversary in order for the sage to show what virtue is all about.

God needed Lucifer
Allah needed Syaitan
Buddha needed Devadatta
Rama needed Ravana
Devas need the Asuras

He was an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ of course he went to heaven. It was Gods plan that Judas betray Jesus it was something that he couldn't avoid. If Judas hadn't betrayed Jesus you would not be saved.

Assuming you believe the legend, without Judas, Jesus would not have been betrayed, not crucified, and we wouldn't have Christianity. So I'd say he was part of the big plan and was doing god's will. I vote heaven!

I believe that Judas's name is written out of the book of life and cast into the lake of fire.

He died with no chance of a resurrection. He knew that Jesus was God's Son, but he betrayed him anyway.

Hell is the common grave of dead mankind. In that respect, I guess you could say that he went to hell.
