It sounds like canker sores, I don't think it's clear what causes them. Some people get them often, others never do.

I don't think it has anything to do with going barefoot, I've been a full-time barefooter for ten years and not only do I never have any, but I've never heard this supposed 'you'll get canker sores' myth either, not from personal experience nor from communicating with (many) other barefooters online.

Why would you have blisters in your mouth if you're always barefoot? I don't see the correlation.

Now you might have canker sores and they don't really know what causes them.

i get them from stress. they hurt like a B****, and i play trumpet! OUCH! usually i just put some cream over them. It really stings in the beginning but after a min. or so the gel covers over the blister and it reduces the pain for a few hrs.

shingles have turned up in stranger places. you really need to get a biopsy of the pustule just to make sure. If it is there are several drugs like Zoverax to help the pain. there are other things that can cause it so not to panic but if it is happening a lot & there is stress involved please see the M.D.-- oooh I'm a poet!!

just my opinion, it sounds like herpes simplex to me. it can be cured by antivirals just see your doc. but it can be other things, it can also be just simple chancre sores. see your doc. drink a lot of water and take vitamin C which will help your blisters heal fast. they could also be stress-induced, have you been getting a lot of stress? increased water intake, vitamin C, and rest and sleep will definitely help.
