OK. Let's get the names straight.

There are 81 SQUARES.

There are 9 ROWS and 9 COLUMNS. And there are 9 BLOCKS. Each have 9 Squares.

The game is completed so that the numbers 1 through 9 appear along each Row, Column, and Square without repeating.

The simplest way I can state it is to eliminate the possibility of any one number from appearing by going a Row, Square, or a Column at a time. Look for where 1 can appear, then 2, and so on.

The great thing about it is that the complexity is also a useful tool. All puzzles will start with numbers in certain places. Work with the easiest rated ones until you get the hang of it.
