I think white males have dominated many aspects of the working industry for a long time. There's more competition for you now. Woman, any and all cultures are being treated as equal, or at least given better opportunities. As well as the disabled population. There are jobs being created to allow those people to work happily.
So, where else can you go when you're on top? Down! White males have dominated and now there's more people with better and different qualifications to complete the same work. I think the older population of white males are people who take their time in completing tasks with some arrogance of security with their titles. Now with time pressures, they're getting forced out by quicker and more inventive personnel.

Versus white females? Or in general? Depends on where you are. Suburbanite or City Slicker ? How you adapt to society. Peer pressure ? It's a conglomerate of a lot of things. If you are not "silverspooned" in this world then, I guess it's your job to come up out of the well you are in and stop thinking of how others think or percieve you to be and challenge yourself to certain goals. And once you achieve this, chances are, you will be humble enough to merge into everyday life without the thought of why it's so hard being white in todays society because it's really not the case at all. It's the struggle to achieve. Be it of any race, but, I feel ya, brother.

Because you are guilty for all the world's problems, expected to pay for everything, can't compete in a marketplace or education or employment system where preferences are always against you, regardless of qualifications (experience, education, clean criminal record or drivers license, etc.) yet you get told you have it easy because, through no choice or fault of your own, you happened to be born a white male.

Have you been taught to be a big, strong he-man? These men are not allowed to cry when hurt or saddened. Frankly, this is a wrong attitude. Men have emotions too. By the way, this is true of black, red, and yellow men too.

I know I hate how people call me sir and I was hired on at a large company after one interview. And one time I wish police would follow me around for some excitement! Plus, I want to be a writer so I need to experience pain, but I'm from an upper middle class family. What I wouldn't give to come from a background of people who have been subjugated for hundreds of years. God lifes rough for us white men...

We're the only segment of the population that isn't considered a minority - thusly making white males the only minority that DOESN'T has special legal privileges.

I would think white men have it much easier than any of us....I mean they conquer the medical field and the entertainment industry, sports field....blacks have the KKK and white women have to live up to people's expectations of men....i think you are lucky to be who you are.
