He should be the first One we turn to, not our last resort! I agree with you! If only everyone could see that there is nothing that we can't trust to the Lord. The Bible says that He works out everything for the good of those that love Him!

its plain and simple sinful arrogance of humans...thinking there is no God, that everything acheived on earth was completely credited to human wisdom. the arrogance of humans thinking they don't need God...but when human wisdom fails to answer the questions or solve the problem they face that is when they are head-on confronted with the truth that God is ultimately the One who can answer the question/solve the problem. Only for that moment they admit that they have no control. it's desperation, and utter astonishment that they have not been able to fix the problem they face that they then have to admit that in the end it all rests in the Almighty's hands.

because we think we can handle it and do every thing on our own and then when it doesnt work and it comes crashing down on us we turn to God to help fix it and help us cope. we should be turning to God before it even begins and shouldnt turn away from Him but it happens. rely on God at all times and the world wont crash down on us to begin with.

We all don't turn to god when things crash in. I've known many who don't and I haven't done that - once I became an atheist.
When I was a christian I yo-yoed a bit, to be fair.

Yeah, like on 9/11. It was like, "God help us"
A month later it was business as usual.

Good point!!!! how often we only "use" God when we need something, and when all is going well, we never thank him for what he is doing!
